Oh look, wow, a new art site. That reminds of DeviantArt back when every other picture was someone's cut-up arm and Macs didn't have any functionality. Well, haven't seen any arms yet, but I'm definitely lacking on the functionality.

Being able to submit art would be nice... alas.

Oh, uh... about me? My name is Xella. Specifically, Alicia 'Xellandria' Kilpatrick (note the apostraphes, not the quotes. Don't ask, it harkens back to <a href="http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/k/i/kilpatrick">Elfwood days</a>. I'm eighteen (almost nineteen, gah @o), and a first-year Animation Major (Sequential Art-that's comics, folks-minor).

I live in California, and I used to say "I hate it here. Get me out get me out get me OUT" but then I realized that, were I to move back to my homeland (Long Island), I would lose my fast internet connection. Plus, you know, relatives. Eehh.

I have three comics, two of which are considered true "webcomics" and one of which I'm in the process of actually producing with real ink and tone for print. They are:

• <a href="http://bowspirits.keenspace.com/" title="Bowspirit's Aim">Bowspirit's Aim</a> - A Fantasy Comedy-Drama, with some mature themes and language. Not for kiddies or prudes (come on, the namesake character is an incubus, people). If you've seen the anime/manga Slayers, it's got that sort of tone.
• <a href="http://flowofdestiny.keenspace.com/" title="Flow of Destiny">Flow of Destiny</a> - A more serious Fantasy Drama/Epic, though that's not to say it's all stuffy. Still some mature themes, but no incubi. If BA is Slayers, FoD is probably Buffy
• <a href="http://www.dysdaera.net/shadows/" title="Shadows">Shadows</a> - This is less "high fantasy" and more just "regular fantasy"-I haven't figured out the tone of this, so I can't say "if you enjoyed ____'s humour/tone, you'll enjoy Shadows", but I'm writing it as I go. This is the one I'm working on for print. Go team Xella.

All the comics are technically produced by <a href="http://www.aslua-studios.com/" title="Aslua Studios: Mothers of Chaos">Aslua Studios</a>, which has seven members and of which I make up 90% of what actually happens. Oh well. I'm not bitter, really. I'm just a control freak.

Am running out of things to say here, really =D;; Ah well.

So I figured out how to browse the site =D Which is sort of happy, except that it involes being logged into two browsers, which doesn't really work all that well when the site only lets you be logged into one at a time.

See, what I have to do is do all the non-submission stuff in Safari, like looking at art and stuff, because the site REALLY bugs up in IE 5.2 (the most recent and last version of IE for the Mac), and then if I want to submit art or anything, I have to do that in IE, because Safari can't do the weird poppy-downy things. IE also can't read the submission descriptions (what each category means), so I really am having to make my best guess.

I wish there was a "suggestions" box easily findable on the site. I would love to suggest things like a FAQ and an expanded ruleset, but that's all right. So long as I'm not branded an idiot right away, we're all good.

So, welcome to my SA page, which will... um... probably rot like my DA one does. Probably. I wish I knew if we were using HTML for things or UBB. I don't think it's HTML coz' the Shadows page had really FUBARed HTML (as in, it didn't print) so... we'll see.

Stew tonight. Mmm.
